  1. 6. An albumin-binding domain as a scaffold for bispecific affinity proteins

    Author : Johan Nilvebrant; Sophia Hober; Andrew Bradbury; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; albumin-binding domain; bispecific; albumin; affinity protein; phage display; staphylococcal display; orthogonal affinity purification; TNF-alpha; ErbB2; ErbB3; SRA - Molecular Bioscience; SRA - Molekylär biovetenskap;

    Abstract : Protein engineering and in vitro selection systems are powerful methods to generate binding proteins. In nature, antibodies are the primary affinity proteins and their usefulness has led to a widespread use both in basic and applied research. READ MORE

  2. 7. Genomic profiling of breast cancer by microarray-based technology and bioinformatics

    Author : Johan Staaf; Bröstcancer-genetik; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Survival; Prognostic predictor; Gene Expression; ERBB2; HER2; Microarray; Copy Number Analysis; CGH; aCGH; Amplification; Gene expression analysis;

    Abstract : Cancer is a genetic disease that arises when a cell acquires unlimited growth potential through a series of mutational events, which target genes essential for normal cell control and maintenance. Breast cancer is one of the most frequent malignancies in women worldwide, and it is characterized by heterogeneous tumor biology, histological subtypes, variable prognosis and variable responsiveness to treatment. 4. 9. The mechanism of integrin inactivation and cell signalling induced by c-erbB2, an oncogenic growth factor receptor

    Author : Shahram Hedjazifar; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; c-erbB2; integrin á2â1; cell-matrix; integrin conformation; PKB; ERK; Rho; ILK; Nck-2;

    Abstract : Overexpression of the oncogenic growth factor receptor, c-erbB2, is linked with poor prognosis in breast carcinomas and is used as a target for therapeutic strategies. To elucidate the mechanism underlying the tumorigenic action of an elevated c-erbB2 level, leading to homodimerization and activation, we have used an inducible system where a hybrid receptor consisting of the cytoplasmic and transmembrane domains of c-erbB2 fused to the extracellular domain of the trkA NGF receptor has been stably transfected into an immortalized mammary epithelial cell line. 5. 10. Molecular factors influencing epithelial-mesenchymal transition in breast cancer

    Author : Gisela M A Nilsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; breast cancer; epithelial-mesenchymal transition; c-erbB2; E-cadherin; NFI-C2; FoxF1; LOX;

    Abstract : Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a developmental process defined by loss of epithelial characteristics and acquisition of mesenchymal phenotype. EMT or similar processes are also implicated in carcinoma cell invasion and the progression of breast carcinoma to metastasis. READ MORE
