  1. 1. Compensating for Unreliable Communication Links in Networked Control Systems

    Author : Erik Henriksson; Karl Henrik Johansson; Henrik Sandberg; Bruno Sinopoli; KTH; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; networked control; packet loss compensation; unreliable communication; control over wirless networks; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : Control systems utilizing wireless sensor and actuator networks can be severely affectedby the properties of the communication links. Radio fading and interferencemay cause communication losses and outages in situations when the radio environmentis noisy and low transmission power is desirable. READ MORE

  2. 2. Predictive Control for Wireless Networked Systems in Process Industry

    Author : Erik Henriksson; Karl H. Johansson; Henrik Sandberg; Tore Hägglund; KTH; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; model predictive control; networked control systems; wireless systems; process industry; automatic control;

    Abstract : Wireless networks in industrial process control enable new system architectures and designs. However, wireless control systems can be severely affected by the imperfections of the communication links. READ MORE

  3. 3. Experimental studies in brain tumours : with special regard to multidrug resistance and the ErbB-family

    Author : Ulrika Andersson; Roger Henriksson; Beatrice Malmer; Erik Blomquist; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Oncology; glioma; meningioma; endothelium; MDR; Pgp; MRP1; LRP; MGMT; EGFR; ErbB2; ErbB3; ErbB4; Onkologi; Oncology; Onkologi; onkologi; Oncology;

    Abstract : Primary brain tumours, and especially the most common form malignant gliomas, usually display a pronounced resistance to other treatment modalities when surgery fails to cure. Growth factors, such as EGF and its receptor, frequently amplified and overexpressed in malignant gliomas, and factors associated with multidrug resistance have been suggested to at least partially explain the poor outcome. 4. 4. Diagnosis and Supervision of Industrial Gas Turbines

    Author : Emil Larsson; Jan Åslund; Erik Frisk; Lars Eriksson; Mattias Henriksson; Linköpings universitet; []

    Abstract : Monitoring of industrial gas turbines is of vital importance, since it gives valuable information for the customer about maintenance, performance, and process health. The performance of an industrial gas turbine degrades gradually due to factors such as environment air pollution, fuel content, and ageing to mention some of the degradation factors. READ MORE

  5. 5. Enabling Technologies for Management of Distributed Computing Infrastructures

    Author : Daniel Espling; Erik Elmroth; Rizos Sakellariou; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; grid computing; cloud computing; accounting; billing; contextualization; monitoring; structure; fairshare; scheduling; federated; Computer Science; datalogi;

    Abstract : Computing infrastructures offer remote access to computing power that can be employed, e.g., to solve complex mathematical problems or to host computational services that need to be online and accessible at all times. READ MORE
