1. Diving Deep into Saturn's Equatorial Ionosphere with Cassini : Insights from the Grand Finale
Abstract : In the summer of 2017, the Cassini mission concluded its nearly 13 years orbiting Saturn with a series of daring dives between the rings and the upper reaches of Saturn's atmosphere. This last phase of the mission, called the Grand Finale, revealed a highly variable equatorial ionosphere dominated by a large influx of ring material from Saturn's D ring. READ MORE

2. Titan’s ionosphere and dust : – as seen by a space weather station
Abstract : Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, is the only known moon with a fully developed nitrogen-rich atmosphere, its ionosphere is detectable as high as 2200 km above its surface and hosts complex organic chemistry. Titan’s atmosphere and ionosphere has striking similarities to current theories of these regions around Earth 3.5 billion years ago. READ MORE

3. Dissociative recombination of organic molecular ions of relevance for interstellar clouds and Titan's upper atmosphere
Abstract : This thesis presents experimental studies on the dissociative recombination (DR) of the organic molecular ions CD3CND+, CH2CHCNH+, CH3CH2CNH+, CD3CDO+, CH3CHO+ and DCOOD2+. The experiments were all performed at the heavy ion storage ring CRYRING at the Manne Siegbahn Laboratory in Stockholm, Sweden. READ MORE

4. Saturn's dusty equatorial ionosphere from Cassini's Grand Finale observations
Abstract : The Cassini mission provided unprecedented insights into the Kronian system and revealed many unexpected phenomena relating to dusty plasma environments around Saturn and its rings. Almost 13 years after its arrival, Cassini began a series of 22 orbits which brought it between Saturn's upper atmosphere and the innermost D ring, culminating in a final plunge into Saturn's ionosphere.
