  1. 21. Application of the Fluoresecence Lidar Techniques in the Architectural Heritage

    Author : Jenny Hällström; Bebyggelsevård; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; architectural heritage; stone; brick; conservation; restoration; case studies; building investigation; lidar; fluorescence; laser; masonry;

    Abstract : The primary aim of the research project is to analyse the potential for the application of lidar and fluorescence techniques in building investigation, and also to establish a scientific remote-sensing method for surveying and analysing the historical facade that is non-destructive and can be used in-situ. The fluorescence lidar method uses point-monitoring and scanning of areas that can provide multispectral images in order to identify materials, biodeteriogens and other substances not visible to the human eye. 2. 22. Graphene Heat Spreaders for Electronics Thermal Management Applications

    Author : Yong Zhang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; test platform; heat spreader.; transfer; Graphene; thermal management;

    Abstract : Graphene shows great potential for applications in electronics due to its outstanding physical properties such as extremely high electron mobility, high thermal conductivity, high Young’s modulus and very high surface-to-volume ratio. Among these attractive properties, the high intrinsic thermal conductivity is a critical advantage for the application of graphene in electronics to alleviate heat dissipation problems. READ MORE

  3. 23. Explorations of boron-based materials through theoretical simulations

    Author : Adam Carlsson; Martin Dahlqvist; Johanna Rosén; Jakoah Brgoch; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Density Functional Theory; Thermodynamic Stability; Borides; Crystal Structure Prediction; Cluster Expansion; High-throughput;

    Abstract : This thesis focuses on boron-based materials, notable for their structural complexity and unique combination of ceramic and metallic properties. These properties typically result in materials with high mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, and melting points. READ MORE

  4. 24. Dissolution Kinetics and Alteration Products of Micas and Epidote in Acidic Solutions at Room Temperature

    Author : Birgitta Estmark Kalinowski; Per Aagaard; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap; Mineralogy; Petrology and Geochemistry; mineralogi; petrologi och geokemi;

    Abstract : The reaction kinetics of the weathering of several phyllosilicates and one sorosilicate were stud ied experimentally. The alteration products were characterised by various methods in clud ing XRD, HRTEM, SEM, FTIR, NMR and Mössbauer spectroscopy. READ MORE

  5. 25. Carbon Based Materials Synthesis and Characterization for 3D Integrated Electronics

    Author : Shuangxi Sun; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : 3D IC packaging technology extends Moore’s law and shifts the IC field into a new generation of smaller, but more powerful devices. Interconnection and thermal management as two critical parts of 3D IC integration packaging, are facing harsh challenges due to the miniaturization of IC devices. READ MORE
