1. Fast Algorithms for Integral Equations and Least Squares Identification Problems
Abstract : This work is concerned with fast algorithms for integral equations and least squares identification problems. The presentation is divided into three parts. In the first part a fast algorithm for solving systems oflinear equations with a matrix that is alm ost Toeplitz is derived and applied to Fredholm integral equations with stationary kernels. 2. Show me love : Emergent strategic communication practices and fan engagement within the popular music industry
Abstract : This thesis studies how the music industry’s strategic communication practices interplay with and steer audience and fan engagement. Relationships with, and expectations on, “active”, “prosuming” or “co-creative” music audiences make it imperative for communication practitioners to produce engagement. READ MORE

3. Fast neutron dosimetry : a study of basic dosimetric properties of fast-neutrons for external beam radiotherapy and problems associated with corrections of measured charged particle cross-sections
Abstract : Basic dosimetric properties of fast-neutron beams with energies ≤80 MeV were explored using Monte Carlo techniques. Elementary pencil-beam dose distributions taking into account transport of all relevant types of released charged particles (protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He and a particles) were calculated and used to derive several absorbed dose distributions. 4. Compressed Sensing : Algorithms and Applications
Abstract : The theoretical problem of finding the solution to an underdeterminedset of linear equations has for several years attracted considerable attentionin the literature. This problem has many practical applications. One example of such an application is compressed sensing (cs), whichhas the potential to revolutionize how we acquire and process signals. READ MORE

5. Algorithms for Coherent Diffractive Imaging with X-ray Lasers
Abstract : Coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) has become a very popular technique over the past two decades. CDI is a "lensless" imaging method which replaces the objective lens of a conventional microscope by a computational image reconstruction procedure. READ MORE
