1. Spot the difference! : On the way towards automated fault handling in district heating buildings
Abstract : This thesis focuses on how district heating utilities may work with fault handling in customer installations as a tool to reduce their return temperature levels. Reduced return temperatures would make it possible to improve the efficiency of the district heating systems and decrease their environmental impact. READ MORE

2. Switch-Level Fault Simulation Based on Local Algorithms
Abstract : The presence of realistic faults in CMOS networks, such as shorts and opens, frequently gives rise to intermediate voltage values. At the switch level, these values result in undetermined logic states (X) which are likely to propagate to the outputs, causing uncertainty in the estimation of test set efficiency. READ MORE

3. Faults and their influence on the dynamic behaviour of electric vehicles
Abstract : The increase of electronics in road vehicles comes along with a broad variety of possibilitiesin terms of safety, handling and comfort for the users. A rising complexityof the vehicle subsystems and components accompanies this development and has tobe managed by increased electronic control. READ MORE

4. Assessment and Comparison of Physical Fault Injection Techniques
Abstract : This thesis deals with the problem of validating and estimating the effectiveness of error handling mechanisms in computer systems. The main contribution is an assessment of the effectiveness and usefulness of several physical fault injection techniques. READ MORE

5. On the Design and Validation of Fault Containment Regions in Distributed Communication Systems
Abstract : This thesis has a two fold focus where the first is an evaluation of a time-triggered communication protocol implementation, TTP-C1, which was stressed by use of heavy-ion fault injection. The gathered result showed a novel type of failures, earlier known only from theory, so-called slightly-out-of-specification faults, that manifested as Byzantine failures with resulting system inconsistence.
