1. Sensory quality of pork : Influences of rearing system, feed, genotype, and sex
Abstract : Hampshire crosses of different genotype and sex were used to investigate the effects of rearing system, feed and handling on sensory quality, consumer preference and cooking loss. A selected and trained panel carried out descriptive tests. Two preference tests were carrieout by, in each case, 200 consumers. READ MORE

2. Towards a Better Understanding and Control of Factors Affecting the Physical Quality of Fish Feed
Abstract : As aquaculture expands, the volume of fish feed produced and transported must also increase. Therefore a better understanding and increased control of the factors that influence the physical quality of feed pellets is required. To achieve this goal, reliable methods measuring the physical quality of feed are needed. READ MORE

3. Impact of glucose feed rate on productivity and recombinant protein quality in Escherichia coli
Abstract : The goal of this work was to contribute to the fed-batch process optimisation task by deriving parameters that have considerable impact on productivity as well as product quality The chosen parameters were I) the design of the glucose feed profile, II) the choice of induction strategy, with respect to the method of addition, and III) the time of the induction, with respect to the specific glucose consumption rate. The present fed-batch experiments using the lacUV5-promoter, for production of b-galactosidase, have shown that a high glucose feed rate gives a specific production rate, qp, that is twice as high, after induction, compared to a feed rate that is 2. 4. Filamentous Fungi as a Sustainable Ingredient for Fish Feed
Abstract : Limited feed ingredients hinder aquaculture’s rapid growth. Current unsustainable fish feeding practices use ingredients like fishmeal and soybean meal, which could be directly consumed for as human food. This demands novel alternatives for fish nutrition. READ MORE

5. Multivariate Synergies in Pharmaceutical Roll Compaction : The quality influence of raw materials and process parameters by design of experiments
Abstract : Roll compaction is a continuous process commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry for dry granulation of moisture and heat sensitive powder blends. It is intended to increase bulk density and improve flowability. READ MORE
