  1. 1. Switching Kinetics and Charge Transport in Organic Ferroelectrics

    Author : Tim Cornelissen; Martijn Kemerink; Mats Fahlman; Kamal Asadi; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic Electronics; Ferroelectrics; Organic Ferroelectrics;

    Abstract : The continued digitalization of our society means that more and more things are getting connected electronically. Since currently used inorganic electronics are not well suited for these new applications because of costs and environmental issues, organic electronics can play an important role here. READ MORE

  2. 2. Tunable Filters based on Ferroelectrics and Semiconductor Varactors

    Author : Anders Eriksson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; High Temperature Superconductor HTS ; quality factor; tunable filter; phase transition; circular disc resonator; Cu BCB multilayer; KTaO3; ferroelectrics; dual mode filter; SrTiO3;

    Abstract : Experimental investigation and development of tunable microwave filters, based on single crystals of SrTiO3 (STO) and KTaO3 (KTO), form the main work of this thesis. The dielectric properties of STO and KTO crystals are evaluated experimentally for a wide temperature range, with a DC bias, using parallel-plate resonators with High Temperature Superconductor (HTS) and normal metal (Cu) electrodes. 4. 4. Multifunctional Supramolecular Organic Ferroelectrics

    Author : Indre Urbanaviciute; Martijn Kemerink; Mats Fahlman; Bengt-Harald Jonsson; Van Dijken Sebastiaan; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Ferroelectric materials are known and valued for their multifunctionality arising from the possibility to perturb the remnant ferroelectric polarization by electric field, temperature and/or mechanical stimuli. While inorganic ferroelectrics dominate the current market, their organic counterparts may provide highly desired properties like eco-friendliness, easy processability and flexibility, concomitantly opening unique opportunities to combine multiple functionalities into a single compound that facilitates unprecedented device concepts and designs. 5. 5. Ferroelectric Na0.5K0.5NbO3 as an electro-optic material

    Author : Mats Blomqvist; KTH; []
    Keywords : ferroelectrics; sodium potassium niobates; thin films; rf-magnetron sputtering; waveguiding; refractive index; prism coupling; dielectric tunability;

    Abstract : Ferroelectrics are a group of advanced electronic materialswith a wide variety of properties useful in applications suchas memory devices, resonators and filters, infrared sensors,microelectromechanical systems, and optical waveguides andmodulators. Among the oxide perovskite-structured ferroelectricthin film materials sodium potassium niobate or Na0. READ MORE
