  2. 2. Model Predictive Control for Cooperative Rendezvous of Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles

    Author : Linnea Persson; Bo Wahlberg; Jonathan How; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Autonomous systems; Model Predictive Control; MPC; Autonomous landing; UAV; Unmanned Aerial Vehicle; Moving target; Quadcopter; Implementation; Variable Horizon MPC; Adaptive Horizon MPC; Autonom landning; Modell-prediktiv reglerteknik; quadcopter; autonoma system; MPC; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates cooperative maneuvers for aerial vehicles autonomously landing on moving platforms. The objective has been to develop methods for safely performing such landings on real systems subject to a variety of disturbances, as well as physical and computational constraints. READ MORE

  3. 3. High-Temperature Durability Prediction of Ferritic-Martensitic Steel

    Author : Ahmed Azeez; Robert Eriksson; Kjell Simonsson; Daniel Leidermark; Christer Persson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ferritic-martensitic steel; Low cycle fatigue; Thermomechanical fatigue; Crack propagation; Fracture mechanics; Finite element modelling;

    Abstract : Materials used for high-temperature steam turbine sections are generally subjected to harsh environments with temperatures up to 625 °C. The superior creep resistance of 9–12 % Cr ferritic-martensitic steels makes them desirable for those critical steam turbine components. READ MORE

  4. 4. Structure-Exploiting Numerical Algorithms for Optimal Control

    Author : Isak Nielsen; Daniel Axehill; Anders Hansson; Eric Kerrigan; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Numerical Optimal Control; Model Predictive Control; Riccati Recursion; Parallel Algorithms; Low-Rank Modifications; Parametric Programming; Optimization; Explicit MPC; Moving Horizon Estimation; Partial Condensing;

    Abstract : Numerical algorithms for efficiently solving optimal control problems are important for commonly used advanced control strategies, such as model predictive control (MPC), but can also be useful for advanced estimation techniques, such as moving horizon estimation (MHE). In MPC, the control input is computed by solving a constrained finite-time optimal control (CFTOC) problem on-line, and in MHE the estimated states are obtained by solving an optimization problem that often can be formulated as a CFTOC problem. 5. 5. Formations and Obstacle Avoidance in Mobile Robot Control

    Author : Petter Ögren; KTH; []
    Keywords : Mobile Robots; Robot Control; Obstacle Avoidance; Multi-robot system; Formation Control; Navigation Function; Lyapunov Function; Model Predictive Control; Receding Horizon Control; Gradient Climbing; Gradient Estimation.;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of four independent papers concerningthe control of mobile robots in the context of obstacleavoidance and formation keeping. The first paper describes a new theoreticallyv erifiableapproach to obstacle avoidance. READ MORE
