  2. 2. Modeling and Control of a PMSynRel Drive for a Plug-InHybrid Electric Vehicle

    Author : Shuang Zhao; Chandur Sadarangani; Sigurd Övrebö; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electric drive; feasible region; inductance spatial harmonics; integrated charger; permanent-magnet assisted synchronous reluctance machine; plug-in hybrid-electric vehicle; polarity detection; saturation and cross-saturation; sensorless control; signal injection; transient modeling.;

    Abstract : This thesis presents two transient models for a prototype integrated charger for use in a plug-in hybrid-electrical vehicle application. The models can be useful in order to develop control algorithms for the system or to recommend improvements to the machine design. READ MORE

  3. 3. Steam condensation in a water pool and its effect on thermal stratification and mixing

    Author : Ignacio Gallego-Marcos; Pavel Kudinov; Walter Villanueva; Dominique Bestion; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Steam injection; EHS EMS; blowdown pipes; spargers; chugging; oscillatory bubble; CFD; condensation pool; stratification; mixing; Engineering Mechanics; Teknisk mekanik;

    Abstract : The Pressure Suppression Pool (PSP) of a Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) is a large heat sink designed to limit the containment pressure by condensing steam released from the primary coolant system. The development of thermal stratification is a safety concern since it leads to higher containment pressures than in completely mixed conditions, and can affect the performance of systems such as the emergency core cooling and containment spray, which the use PSP as a source of water. 4. 4. Co-injection of basic fluxes or BF flue dust with PC into a BF charged with 100% pellets : effects on slag formation and coal combustion

    Author : Lena Sundqvist Ökvist; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Process Metallurgy; Processmetallurgi;

    Abstract : Based on 100% pellets operation at BF No. 3 at SSAB Tunnplåt in Luleå a new pellet with CaO/SiO2=1 was developed during early nineties. The pellet showed good results in metallurgical laboratory test but caused slag formation problems in the bosh. READ MORE
