1. Molecular dissection of established and proposed members of the Op18/Stathmin family of tubulin binding proteins
Abstract : My initial aim was a functional analysis of the conserved Op18/stathmin family of microtubule-regulators, which includes the ubiquitous cytosolic Op18 protein and the neural membrane-attached RB3 and SCG10 proteins. The solved X-ray structure has shown that these proteins form a complex with tubulin -heterodimers via two imperfect helical repeats, which result in two head-to-tail aligned heterodimers in a tandem-tubulin complex. 2. T-cell Differentiation and Immunological Homeostasis in Lymphopenic and Kappa Light Chain Deficient Mice
Abstract : T lymphocytes are primarily involved in adaptive, cell-mediated, immune reactions. In this thesis T cells were studied regarding central and peripheral differentiation and homeostatic mechanisms for maintanance of the immune repertoire. The influence by mature T cells on thymic development was studied in C. 3. Analytical and numerical approaches to estimate peak shear strength of rock joints
Abstract : In Sweden, there exists a large number of dams. Many of them are founded on rock masses normally affected by the presence of sub-horizontal rock fractures, which makes sliding along rock joints under the dam foundation one of the most critical failure mechanism. READ MORE

4. Peak Shear Strength of Rock Joints – Towards a Methodology for Prediction Based on Field Data
Abstract : The rock joint shear strength at field scale is an important design parameter and remains a challenge for rock mechanics engineers. In Sweden, there exist a large number of concrete dams that are founded on rock masses which in many cases contain sub-horizontal rock joints. READ MORE

5. Quality aspects in direct shear testing of rock joints
Abstract : The stability of rock masses is influenced by the occurrence of rock joints. Therefore, the shear strength of rock joints must be considered in dimensioning of underground constructions. READ MORE
