  2. 2. Diabetes Mellitus Glucose Prediction by Linear and Bayesian Ensemble Modeling

    Author : Fredrik Ståhl; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Diabetes; Glucose Prediction; Identification; Ensemble Prediction;

    Abstract : Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease of impaired blood glucose control due to degraded or absent bodily-specific insulin production, or utilization. To the affected, this in many cases implies relying on insulin injections and blood glucose measurements, in order to keep the blood glucose level within acceptable limits. READ MORE

  3. 3. Dual-energy imaging in stroke : feasibility of dual-layer detector cone-beam computed tomography

    Author : Fredrik Ståhl; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Background: Dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) is increasingly available and used in the standard diagnostic setting of ischemic stroke patients. For stroke patients with suspected large vessel occlusion, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in the interventional suite could be an alternative to CT to shorten door to thrombectomy time. 4. 4. Towards Defence In Depth In Diabetes Glucose Self-Management

    Author : Fredrik Ståhl; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Diabetes; model; insulin action; postprandial glucose;

    Abstract : Diabetes is a disease characterized by insufficient capacity to regulate the blood glucose level. In insulin-dependent diabetes, multiple daily injections of insulin have to be administered. In-between scheduled visits to the care provider, the patient has to manage the glucose control independently. READ MORE

  5. 5. Influence of thermal mass on the heating and cooling demands of a building unit

    Author : Fredrik Ståhl; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; thermal mass; environmental impact; thermal comfort; heat storage; life cycle; building energy use; earth tube heat exchanger; comfort interval; heavy or light buildings; building structure;

    Abstract : The purpose of this work is to find to what extent the thermal properties of the building materials, the allowed indoor temperature swing, determined by the comfort interval, and, to some extent, the ventilation strategy can affect the heating and cooling demand of a building. It is well known that a thermally heavy building, that is a building with a high heat capacity, often demands less energy for heating and cooling and have a more stabile indoor temperature due to heat storage in the building structure.
