    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Front-End Loaders; Electronic Self Leveling; Modeling; Control; Disturbance estimation; Payload estimation; Equations of motion; Pressure-based friction;

    Abstract : A growing population is driving automatization in agricultural industry to strive for more productive arable land. Being part of this process, this work is aimed to investigate the possibility to implement sensor-based automation in a particular system called Front End Loader, which is a lifting arms that is commonly mounted on the front of a tractor. 2. 2. The Fight on the Flights : Emergency evacuations – human physiological performance, leg muscle activity and gait biomechanics during exhaustive stair and slope ascent

    Author : Amitava Halder; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Stair climbing evacuation; Physical work capacity; Physiological constraints; Endurance; Energy expenditure; Oxygen consumption; Electromyography; Muscle fatigue; Incline gait biomechanics; Ground reaction forces; Required coefficient of friction;

    Abstract : Physical exhaustion can constrain stair ascending capacity during emergency evacuation. The overall aim of this research was to explore and compare stair ascending capacities and physiological limitations when using two different modes: 1) self-preferred pace on three different public stairways, and 2) four machine-controlled paces on a stair machine corresponding to different percentages of maximal aerobic capacity (V̇O2max). 3. 3. Influence of transient loading on lubricant density and frictional properties

    Author : Bert-Olof Åhrström; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Maskinelement; Machine Elements;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis deals with the influence of transient loading, at high pressures, on the pressure-dilatation relation and frictional properties of lubricants. A Split-Hopkinson pressure bar and a Ball and Bar apparatus have been used for the experiments. READ MORE

  4. 4. Harmonic Mitigation in Traction Drives

    Author : Hans Bängtsson; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hydraulics; Mechanical engineering; converter; line interference; track circuit; Railway signalling system; vacuum technology; vibration and acoustic engineering; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik;

    Abstract : In railway traffic the low friction between wheel and rail causes long braking distances, normally much longer than the sight distance of the driver, i.e. if the driver starts the braking when a problem on the track is discovered, it might be too late to brake the train. Therefore, safe railway traffic can not only rely on the driver. READ MORE

  5. 5. Wear behavior of wet clutches

    Author : Niklas Lingesten; Mikael Holgerson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Maskinelement; Machine Elements;

    Abstract : Human civilization is largely based on the transformation of stored chemical energy in the form of fossil fuels into usable work through the use of the combustion engine. In recent years, the awareness of problems such as global warming due to emissions of greenhouse gases and the depletion of fossil fuel reserves has increased. READ MORE
