  1. 11. A behavior-based control system for mobile manipulation

    Author : Zbigniew Wasik; Alessandro Saffiotti; Dimiter Driankov; Bruno Siciliano; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; behavior-based systems; vision-based manipulation; mobile manipulation; fuzzy logic; intelligent control; autonomous robotics; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Computer and Systems Science; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : The field of industrial robotics can be defined as the study, design and use of robot manipulators for manufacturing. Although the problem of designing a controller for industrial robots has been subject of intensive study, a number of assumptions are usually made which may seriously limit the applicability of these robots. 2. 12. A Software Framework for Prioritized Spectrum Access in Heterogeneous Cognitive Radio Networks

    Author : Yong Yao; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cognitive Radio Networks; Queueing Modelling; Spectrum Decision; Fuzzy-Logic; Cellular Network; Ad-Hoc Network; Mesh Network;

    Abstract : Today, the radio spectrum is rarely fully utilized. This problem is valid in more domains, e.g., time, frequency and geographical location. READ MORE

  3. 13. A case-based multi-modal clinical system for stress management

    Author : Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Peter Funk; Ning Xiong; Bo von Schéele; Nosrat Shahsavar; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; stress management; diagnosis and treatment; multi-purpose and multi-modal; Case-based reasoning; textual information retrieval; rule-based reasoning; and fuzzy logic; Computer science; Datavetenskap; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : A difficult issue in stress management is to use biomedical sensor signal in the diagnosis and treatment of stress. Clinicians often make their diagnosis and decision based on manual inspection of physiological signals such as, ECG, heart rate, finger temperature etc. READ MORE

  4. 14. New Techniques for Continuous Chemical Analysis in the Pulp&Paper Industry

    Author : Matthew Rice; KTH; []

    Abstract : This thesis presents some new techniques that were developedfor continuous chemical analysis of a paper furnish. First, ageneral background is presented, covering topics from theorigins of papermaking to present day. READ MORE

  5. 15. Towards a many-valued logic of quantified belief

    Author : Dimiter Driankov; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : We consider a logic which "truth-values" are represented as quantified belief/disbelief pairs, thus integrating reports on how strongly the truth of a proposition is believed, and how strongly it is disbelieved. In this context a major motive for the logic proposed is, that it should not lead (as in classical logic) to irrelevant conclusions when contradictory beliefs are encountered. READ MORE
