  1. 1. Functional Dendritic Materials using Click Chemistry : Synthesis, Characterizations and Applications

    Author : Per Antoni; Anders Hult; Michael Malkoch; Stefan Hecht; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dendrimer; Dendron; Dendritic; Hyperbranched; Click; Chemistry; CuAAc; One-Pot; Multi-functional; Simultaneous; Honeycomb; Isoporous; MALDI; NMR; GPC; TGA; DSC; Polymer chemistry; Polymerkemi;

    Abstract : Förfrågan efter nya och mer avancerade applikationer är en pågående process vilket leder till en konstant utveckling av nya material. För att förstå relationen mellan en applikations egenskaper och dess sammansättning krävs full förståelse och kontroll över materialets uppbyggnad. READ MORE

  2. 2. Governing grain protein concentration and composition in wheat and barley : use of genetic and environmental factors

    Author : Ali Hafeez Malik; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Keywords : LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : For commercial production of wheat and barley, grain yield (GY), grain protein concentration (GPC) and protein composition are considered important. Genetic (G) and environmental (E) factors are important constraints affecting GPC and protein composition in wheat and barley. READ MORE

  3. 3. Glypican-1: Structural and functional analysis of the N-glycosylated human protein

    Author : Wael Awad Abdelhady; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Proteoglycans; glypicans; glypican-1; heparan sulphate; N-glycosylation; exostosin-proteins; X-ray crystallography; crystal dehydration; diffraction anisotropy; Small angle X-ray scattering SAXS9; protein spectroscopy;

    Abstract : Glypicans are multifunctional cell surface heparan sulphate proteoglycans co-regulating numerous signalling pathways, and are thereby involved in the control of cellular division, differentiation, and morphogenesis. The heparan sulphate (HS) chains are responsible for many of those biological functions; nevertheless recent studies suggest functional roles for the glypican core proteins in mediating the signalling of various growth factors. 4. 4. Interactions of Prion Proteins and PrP-derived Peptides in Scrapie infection

    Author : Kajsa Löfgren Söderberg; Astrid Gräslund; Marcus Fändrich; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spongiform encephalopathy; Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease; Amyloidosis; Neurodegeneration; Cell penetrating peptide; Protein Transduction Domain; Heparan sulfate; Proteoglycan; Glypican; Src family kinase; Fyn; Biochemistry; Biokemi; Biochemistry; biokemi;

    Abstract : Prion diseases are fatal and incurable spongiform encephalopathies that occur amongst mammals. The central pathological event is the misfolding of the cellular prion protein (PrPC) into an amyloid, neurotoxic isoform called scrapie (PrPSc). PrPSc is the main, or sole, constituent of infectious prions. READ MORE

  5. 5. Design and implementation of a picture processor

    Author : Björn Kruse; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In recent years much effort has been devoted to the study of picture processing algorithms and pictorial pattern recognition. The efforts have resulted in both theoretical understanding of and practical approaches to some of the basic problems involved.Common to the areas of picture processing is the great need for processing power.
