  1. 1. Capturing travel entities to facilitate travel behaviour analysis : A case study on generating travel diaries from trajectories fused with accelerometer readings

    Author : Adrian Corneliu Prelipcean; Yusak Octavius Susilo; Gyözö Gidofalvi; Stefan van der Spek; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; travel diary automation; trajectory segmentation; travel data collection; travel diary collection system evaluation and comparison; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Abstract : The increase in population, accompanied by an increase in the availability of travel opportunities have kindled the interest in understanding how people make use of the space around them and their opportunities. Understanding the travel behaviour of individuals and groups is difficult because of two main factors: the travel behaviour's wide coverage, which encompasses different research areas, all of which model different aspects of travel behaviour, and the difficulty of obtaining travel diaries from large groups of respondents, which is imperative for analysing travel behaviour and patterns. 2. 2. GNSS hardware biases in code and carrier phase observables

    Author : Martin Håkansson; Milan Horemuz; Anna B. O. Jensen; Lambert Wanninger; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; GNSS; GNSS positioning; hardware biases; phase biases; multi-GNSS; GPS; GLONASS; Galileo; BeiDou; satellite dependency; characterization; android; mass market; Group delay variations; nadir dependence; ionosphere modeling; ionospheric tomography; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik; Geodesi; Geodesy;

    Abstract : GNSS hardware biases appear in code and phase observations, and originates both from the receiver and satellite hardware. The presence of biases in GNSS observations might affect the accuracy in precise GNSS positioning applications, and might also be of relevance in other GNSS applications. READ MORE

  3. 3. The Integration of 3D Geodata and BIM Data in 3D City Models and 3D Cadastre

    Author : Jing Sun; Kent Eriksson; Anders Östman; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 3D geodata; BIM; city models; 3D cadastre; geometric quality; CityGML; LADM; laser scanning; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik; Geodesi; Geodesy;

    Abstract : The initial geographic information system (GIS) and building information modelling (BIM) are designed and developed independently in order to serve different purposes and use. Within the prolific increase and growing maturity of three-dimensional (3D) technology, both 3D geodata and BIM data can specify semantic data and model 3D buildings that are prominent for the 3D city models and 3D cadastre. 4. 4. Hardware biases and their impact on GNSS positioning

    Author : Martin Håkansson; Anna B. O. Jensen; Milan Horemuz; Jan Johansson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; GNSS positioning; Hardware biases; multi-GNSS; GPS; GLONASS; Galileo; BeiDou; Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geodesi och geoinformatik;

    Abstract : GNSS hardware biases appear in code and phase observations, and originates both from the receiver and satellite hardware. These biases influence the accuracy in precise GNSS positioning if not handled properly. READ MORE

  5. 5. Multitemporal Remote Sensing for Urban Mapping using KTH-SEG and KTH-Pavia Urban Extractor

    Author : Alexander Jacob; Yifang Ban; Paolo Gamba; Francesca Bovolo; KTH; []

    Abstract : The objective of this licentiate thesis is to develop novel algorithms and improve existing methods for urban land cover mapping and urban extent extraction using multi-temporal remote sensing imagery. Past studies have demonstrated that synthetic aperture radar (SAR) have very good properties for the analysis of urban areas, the synergy of SAR and optical data is advantageous for various applications.
