  1. 1. Unravelling the structure and dynamics of lipid nanoparticles for biomolecule delivery

    Author : Jennifer Gilbert; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lipid nanoparticles; neutron scattering; SAXS; protein encapsulation; nucleic acid delivery; lipid self-assembly;

    Abstract : Encapsulation in self-assembled lipid structures has been shown to increase the stability of large biomolecules, including proteins and nucleic acids (NAs), which has many potential applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. In order to fully optimise the encapsulation system for a certain application, however, it is important to understand the effect of the encapsulated biomolecule on the lipid structure and vice versa. 2. 2. Nuclear Intonation in Swedish : Evidence from Experimental-Phonetic Studies and a Comparison with German

    Author : Gilbert Ambrazaitis; Fonetik; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; parallel encoding; contrastive topic; new information; given information; focus; information structure; pragmatics; nucleus; sentence accent; prosody; word accent; F0; early peak; perception; reaction time;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates Swedish intonation patterns and their interaction with word accent realisation in various pragmatic conditions, using German as a reference language. The point of departure is the wide-spread assumption that Swedish, as a language with a tonal word accent distinction, has a considerably smaller repertoire of nuclear intonation contours than German and other so-called intonation languages. 3. 3. Characterization of evolutionary conserved subdomains in the embryonic zebrafish forebrain based on gene expression patterns

    Author : Gilbert Lauter; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Intersecting transverse and longitudinal transcription factor expression domains divide the embryonic brain into a grid of histogenetic fields with distinct positional identities. The topology of histogenetic fields has been highly conserved during vertebrate evolution and can therefore be used to reveal homologous relations of brain areas between vertebrates. READ MORE

  4. 4. Capacity Development for Healthcare Systems in Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Assessing the effectiveness of an advanced international training programme in sexual and reproductive health and rights in Africa and Asia

    Author : Gilbert Tumwine; Socialmedicin och global hälsa; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; capacity development; capacity building; SRHR attitudes; SRHR behaviours; ITP; LMICs;

    Abstract : Background: The 2030 agenda for sustainable development calls upon all nations to make critical investments in their health systems to deliver universal access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Capacity development is listed among the strategies for achieving sustainable development goals. READ MORE
