1. Towards a Gold Standard for Points-to Analysis
Abstract : Points-to analysis is a static program analysis that computes reference informationfor a given input program. It serves as input to many client applicationsin optimizing compilers and software engineering tools. Unfortunately, the Gold Standard – i.e. READ MORE

2. Benchmarking Points-to Analysis
Abstract : Points-to analysis is a static program analysis that, simply put, computes which objects created at certain points of a given program might show up at which other points of the same program. In particular, it computes possible targets of a call and possible objects referenced by a field. READ MORE

3. Quantitative Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy
Abstract : Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a very attractive technique for detection of various organic and inorganic molecules due to its sensitivity and selectivity. The surface enhancement is achieved when the molecules of interest are on or in the vicinity of a metal surface, usually gold and silver. READ MORE

4. Ultrafast spin, lattice, and electron dynamics in thin metallic films : in the terahertz, near-infrared, and extreme ultraviolet regimes
Abstract : In this thesis, we studied the ultrafast spin and electron dynamics triggered by electromagnetic radiation belonging to three different regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, namely terahertz, near-infrared and extreme ultraviolet. By performing pump–probe measurements, we explored the role of the lattice in ultrafast spin and electron dynamics in metallic thin films. READ MORE

5. Attenuation of acute inlammatory responses by surface nanotopography
Abstract : The interaction between biology and non-viable surfaces is crucial for many organisms and cells. For example, bacterial cells need to adhere to mineral surfaces in the soil, plants climb and adhere to walls and marine organisms produce adhesives to cling to underwater rocks etc. READ MORE
