  1. 1. Millimetre wave waveguide enclosed grid frequency multipliers and imaging

    Author : Robin Dahlbäck; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Millimeter wave; THz imaging; THz sources; Grid; Heterostructure Barrier Var- actors HBVs ; Varactors; Array; FMCW; 2D-grid; Quasi-optical.; Frequency multipliers; Radars; sub-millimetre waves; Schottky diodes;

    Abstract : The utilisation of the THz spectrum ( 0.3-10 THz ) is hampered by fundamental difficulties in generating power at these frequencies. READ MORE

  2. 2. On-demand Restricted Delegation : A Framework for Dynamic, Context-Aware, Least-Privilege Delegation in Grids

    Author : Mehran Ahsant; Lennart Johnsson; Marty Humphrey; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Grid Security; Restricted and Context-Aware Delegation; Delegation Protocol; On-demand Delegation; Dynamic Trust Federation; Grid Interoperability; Credential Mapping; Computer science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : In grids, delegation is a key facility that can be used to authenticate and authorize requests on behalf of disconnected users. In current grid systems,delegation is either performed dynamically, in an unrestricted manner, or by a secure but static method. READ MORE

  3. 3. Grid-forming wind power plants

    Author : Anant Narula; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; wind power plants WPPs ; grid-forming GFM ; inertia; Ancillary services; frequency support; coordination; current limitation; energy storage systems ESS ; transient stability;

    Abstract : With growing concerns over climate change, the power system is witnessing an unprecedented growth in electricity generation from intermittent renewable energy sources (RES) such as wind and solar, which are commonly interfaced to the grid by power-electronic converters. However, increasing the penetration level of converter-interfaced generation units reduces the number of synchronous generators (SGs) in the grid that provide system services to support voltage and frequency, either inherently or through mandatory requirements and market products. 4. 4. Cyber-security in Smart Grid Communication and Control

    Author : Ognjen Vuković; György Dán; Deepa Kundur; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Society is increasingly dependent on the reliable operation of power systems. Power systems, at the same time, heavily rely on information technologies to achieve efficient and reliable operation. READ MORE

  5. 5. Enhancing Privacy and Security in the Advanced Metering Infrastructure

    Author : Valentin Tudor; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Advanced Metering Infrastructure; communication security; intrusion detection; data privacy;

    Abstract : Cyberphysical systems introduce computing and communication devices within different sectors of society generating large quantities of data. Information extracted from these data gives better understanding of these sectors and the systems within them. There are many ways in which the information extracted from these data can be harnessed.
