1. A mechanical model of an axial piston machine
Abstract : A mechanical model of an axial piston-type machine with a so-called wobble plate and Z-shaft mechanism is presented. The overall aim is to design and construct an oil-free piston expander demonstrator as a first step to realizing an advanced and compact small-scale steam engine system. READ MORE

2. Roller skis' rolling resistance and grip characteristics : influences on physiological and performance measures in cross-country skiers
Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to investigate roller ski characteristics; classical and freestyle roller skis’ rolling resistance coefficients (μR) and classical style roller skis’ static friction coefficients (μS), and to study the influence of different μR and μS on cross-country skiers’ performance and both physiological and biomechanical indices. The aim was also to study differences in skiing economy and efficiency between recreational skiers, female and male junior and senior elite cross-country skiers. READ MORE

3. Longitudinal Force Distribution and Road Vehicle Handling
Abstract : The distribution of longitudinal forces has a large influence on vehicle handling characteristics such as the driver/vehicle interaction, road holding and yaw stability, in particular during combined traction/braking and cornering near the grip limit of the tires. In order to select and develop suitable driveline systems and associated active control that provide consistent driver/vehicle handling, maximum road holding and sufficient yaw stability margins, it is essential to understand the influence of a particular drive force distribution on these handling characteristics. 4. On Drive Force Distribution and Road Vehicle Handling - A Study of Understeer and Lateral Grip
Abstract : Computer controlled vehicle sub-systems aimed to support drivers in various drivingsituations are rapidly increasing in number and sophistication. These systemshave evolved from anti-lock braking and traction control systems, to electronic stabilitycontrol. READ MORE

5. Wearable Pedobarography System for Monitoring of Walk Related Parameters
Abstract : Health care costs have increased over the last decades due to an ageing population. Therefore, research in personal health monitoring (PHM) has increased in response to this. READ MORE
