  1. 1. Rehabilitation and Evaluation after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury : Function, Stability and Postural Control

    Author : Marketta Henriksson (Lysholm); Gunnar Németh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : Traditionally, the success of treatment after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury has been judged from the recovery of muscle strength and knee range of motion (ROM), but also from the static knee stability after ACL reconstruction. However, since the sensory role of the ACL and surrounding tissues for the functional stability of the knee has been documented, the measurement of proprioceptive function related to knee stability is likely to become important in this evaluation. Author : Martin Ålund; Gunnar Németh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : An electrogoniometrical method was modified for clinical motion analysis of the head and neck. Simultaneous measurements of neck motion range and motion pattern in the three planes could be obtained, and a graphical illustration of the movements was possible. The equipment showed high reliability and validity. READ MORE
