    Abstract : In this research new RF/microwave-based sensor solutions were developed for the monitoring of biological cells and human beings to obtain a better understanding of their activity or state in a quick, cheap, easy and continuous way. The effect of different substances on cell behaviour can be monitored by measuring the electrical environment where changes are observed as cells react to a stimulus. READ MORE

  2. 2. Wireless Wearable Measurement System Based on Pedobarography for Monitoring of Health

    Author : Per Anders Rickard Hellström; Mia Folke; Martin Ekström; Ning Xiong; Amy Loutfi; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; elektronik; Electronics;

    Abstract : Health care costs have increased over the last decades due to an ageing population. Therefore, research in personal health monitoring (PHM) has increased in response to this. READ MORE

    Abstract : This thesis, written by Ingrid Öberg Månsson at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and entitled “Electroanalytical devices with fluidic control using textile materials and methods”, presents experimental studies on the development of textile based electronic devices and biosensors. One of the reasons why this is of interest is the growing demand for integrated smart products for wearable health monitoring or energy harvesting. READ MORE

  4. 4. Stretchable electronics using wood-based functional materials

    Author : Mohsen Mohammadi; Klas Tybrandt; Magnus Berggren; Martin Kaltenbrunner; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Stretchable electronics; Wood-based functional materials; Cellulose nanofibrils; Lignosulfonate; Sustainable electronics;

    Abstract : Stretchable electronics allows for direct integration into deforming systems like clothing, skin, and tissue, thereby enabling novel applications in soft robotics, wearable electronics, health monitoring, therapeutics, and human-machine interfaces. However, achieving seamless integration with the human body poses significant challenges, necessitating the development of functional materials with a low Young’s modulus matching biological tissues to avoid any discomfort or immune response. 5. 5. Parental support in a changing society

    Author : Ann-Christine Hallberg; Lunds universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Public health; epidemiology; Folkhälsa; nurses; parents; child health; health promotion; epidemiologi;

    Abstract : In today's Swedish society there is increasing emphasis on health-promotive work among children, adolescents, and their parents. Knowledge is needed about why certain activities work better than others. It is important to study the parents' motives and experiences of participating in parental supporting programmes. READ MORE
