1. A Genetic Switch in Bacteriophages within the Peduovirinae Subfamily : Structure, Function and Evolution
Abstract : The temperate bacteriophages in the Peduovirinae subfamily can either grow lytically or integrate into their bacterial host and form lysogeny. Which one of the two life cycles the phage will enter after infection is controlled by a transcriptional switch. READ MORE

3. Mortality and morbidity after groin hernia surgery : the role of nationwide registers in finding and analysing rare outcomes
Abstract : Introduction: Groin hernia surgery is one of the most common surgical procedures world-wide. Although mainly uncomplicated, the large volume of these operations makes it important to consider severe postoperative complications. READ MORE

4. Powder Bed Fusion – Laser Beam of Mg alloy WE43 : Establishing the process – structure – properties relationship
Abstract : Powder bed fusion - laser beam (PBF-LB) of Mg alloy WE43 (Mg-4wt%Y-3wt%RE-Zr) has great potential for the development of future biodegradable metal implants, as well as aerospace lightweight materials. However, the work published thus far has mainly focused on obtaining a fully dense material, and the understanding of the relationship among the PBF-LB process parameters, structure and the resulting material properties remains limited. 5. Laboratory methods for investigation of the immunological orchestra in response to pathogens
Abstract : Laboratory methods used for investigation of immune response often involve collection of whole blood and analysis of different biomarkers in blood components or generated from pathogen stimulation of whole blood or peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). Methods used to measure biomarkers are for example enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) which measures one biomarker at a time or multiplex assays for example x-unknown, multi-analyte profiling (xMAP) by Luminex or proximity extension assay (PEA), which can measure up to just over 3000 biomarkers at a time.
