16. Spectra of elliptic operators and applications
Abstract : In this thesis we consider several problems related to elliptic equations. Namely, we investigate Helmholtz and Maxwell's equations in Paper I and Sturm-Liouville spectral problem in Papers II,III. In Paper I we study time-harmonic electromagnetic and acoustic waveguide, modeled by an innite cylinder with a non-smooth cross section. READ MORE

17. Maximal theorems and Calderón-Zygmund type decompositions forthe fractional maximal function
Abstract : A very significant role in the estimation of different operators in analysis is played by the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function. There are a lot of papers dedicated to the study of properties of it, its variants, and their applications. READ MORE

18. Martingale Hardy spaces and summability of the one dimensional Vilenkin-Fourier series
Abstract : The classical theory of Fourier series deals with decomposition of afunction into sinusoidal waves. Unlike these continuous waves the Vilenkin(Walsh) functions are rectangular waves. READ MORE

19. Boundary singularities of plurisubharmonic functions
Abstract : We study the Perron–Bremermann envelope P(μ, φ):=sup{u(z) ; u ∈ PSH(Ω), (ddcu)n≥ μ, u^* ≤ φ} on a B-regular domain Ω. Such envelopes occupy a central position within pluripotential theory as they, for suitable μ and φ harmonic and continuous on the closure of Ω, constitute unique solutions to the Dirichlet problem for the complex Monge–Ampère operator. 20. Spectral properties of elliptic operators in singular settings and applications
Abstract : The present thesis is focused on the investigation of the spectral properties of the linear elliptic operators in the presence of singularities. It is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, we consider geometric singularities. READ MORE
