1. Characterization of Retinal Progenitor Cells : Focus on Proliferation and the GABAA Receptor System
Abstract : One strategy to repair an injured or degenerated retina is to stimulate the replacement of damaged or dead neurons with cells derived from endogenous stem- or progenitor cells. A successful strategy requires knowledge about how the proliferation and differentiation of the endogenous cells are regulated. READ MORE

2. Infinite dimensional holomorphy in the ring of formal power series : partial differential operators
Abstract : We study holomorphy in the ring of formal power series in an infinite number of variables. Thus we restrict our study to (infinite dimensional) holomorphy on sequence spaces and we show that we obtain a rich theory without requiring any topological structure on the domain space. We make a comprehensive PDO-study for the spaces under consideration. READ MORE

3. Analytical vortex solutions to Navier-Stokes equation
Abstract : Fluid dynamics considers the physics of liquids and gases. This is a branch of classical physics and is totally based on Newton's laws of motion. Nevertheless, the equation of fluid motion, Navier-Stokes equation, becomes very complicated to solve even for very simple configurations. READ MORE

4. Synthesis and characterization of dendritic macromolecules based on 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)propionic acid
Abstract : Dendrimers are a relatively new type of macromolecules characterized by a well-defined, highly branthed, layered structure with a multitude of chain ends, adopting a globular shape at higher molar masses. Dendrimers are usually constructed from ABx type of monomers in either one of the two step-wise approaches known as thedivergentor theconvergent growth approach. READ MORE

5. Anomalous Spectral Lines in Space and Laboratory Plasmas - Studies with HST and CRYRING
Abstract : Eta Carinae is one of the most massive and luminous stars in the Galaxy. A huge bipolar nebula and an equatorial disk give the object a characteristic shape. Close to the star there are gas clouds, which emit intriguing emission line spectra. READ MORE
