    Abstract : Lymphomas are malignant tumours arising from cells in the lymphatic system. They are classified as B-cell lymphomas, T-cell lymphomas and Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). Of the B-cell lymphomas, one of the most common is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). READ MORE

  3. 3. Biological pathways in B-cell non-Hodgkin s Lymphoma

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Medicine at Huddinge University Hospital

    Author : Mohit Aggarwal; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2009]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Non-Hodgkin s lymphomas have become more prevalent in the past 20 years. They constitute a diverse group of lymphoid tumors that have been understood and classified according to their clinical behaviour, anatomic location, morphology, immunophenotype, cytogenetics, and gene expression profile. 4. 4. Eosinophil Cationic Protein Expression Levels and Polymorphisms

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Jonas Byström; Uppsala universitet.; [2002]

    Abstract : The eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) is usually associated with the eosinophil granulocyte. In this thesis the presence and production of this protein has been studied in two other cells. The circulating monocyte was found to contain ECP mRNA and small amounts of ECP, one thousand times less than that found in the eosinophil. READ MORE

  5. 5. Clinical studies in aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma with special reference to elderly patients

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Medicine

    Author : Eva Ösby; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2003]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Aggressive; non-Hodgkin s lymphoma; elderly; CHOP; mitoxantrone; etoposide; G-CSF; response evaluation; longevity;

    Abstract : The age-adjusted incidence rate of non-Hodgkin´s lymphoma (NHL), in particular diffuse large B cell lymphoma, has increased continuously during several decades. Patients with aggressive NHL are potentially curable but the 5-year overall survival (OS) is still less than 50% in the whole group. READ MORE
