    Abstract : The aim of the present thesis was to investigate hormonal and physiological effects in mothers during a breastfeeding session and in dogs and their owners in response to short-term interaction.     Abstract : The transition from not producing milk during the dry period to the huge nutrient demands as milk production rapidly increases after parturition imposes significant metabolic strain on high-yielding dairy cows.
