  1. 16. Life cycle assessment of electric vehicle batteries and new technologies

    Author : Mats Zackrisson; Magnus Wiktorsson; Martin Kurdve; Christina Jönsson; Anders Nordelöf; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; life cycle assessment; LCA; electric vehicle; sustainability; eco-design; Production Engineering; Industriell produktion;

    Abstract : Electrification of vehicles has for decades been explored as a possible solution to the problem of climate change. Today, in 2021, the issue is no longer whether the electrification of vehicle fleets ought to happen but rather how it can be achieved with as little environmental impact as possible. READ MORE

  2. 17. Novel electrolytes for next-generation hybrid supercapacitors - Investigating the interaction between electrolyte and electrode

    Author : Simon Lindberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ionic liquids; NaTFSI; superconcentrated; non-aqueous; VO2; MnO2; pseudocapacitance; Hybrid supercapacitors;

    Abstract : The storage of electrical energy is of outmost importance in today’s society, ranging from cell phones to large scale energy storage of intermittent electricity sources. Batteries, that are most commonly used, struggle with low power density and limited cycle lifetime. READ MORE

  3. 18. ABA and chromatin remodelling regulate the activity-dormancy cycle in hybrid aspen

    Author : Anna Petterle; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Keywords : LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : One of the most important survival strategies plants have evolved is the cessation of growth and development of dormancy in response to the seasonal changes. Apical meristems of deciduous woody plants living in temperate and boreal zones undergo a yearly cycle between an active and a dormant state, which allows them to protect the meristem and avoid damage provoked by extremes of low temperatures during the winter. 4. 19. Functional aspects on the Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 5

    Author : Martin Dufva; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Epstein-Barr Virus; EBV; B-cell; transformation; cDNA array; polyadenylation; transcription; cell cycle; apoptosis; two-hybrid system.;

    Abstract : The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infects resting B-cells. This leads to an EBV driven transformation of the resting B-cell into a cell with an activated B-cell phenotype that proliferates indefinitely in vitro. Epstein-Barr Nuclear antigen 5 (EBNA5) is one out of six EBV encoded protein involved in transformation of resting B-cell. READ MORE

  5. 20. On Optimization of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles

    Author : Mitra Pourabdollah; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; EnergyManagement; ECMS; Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles; Driving Cycles.; Component Sizing;

    Abstract : The rising concerns about the global warming and emissions on one hand, and the limited sources of fossil fuels on the other hand, has made electrificationof vehicles an interesting topic among researchers and companies. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) have been on market or several years. READ MORE
