    Author : Axel Klaesson; Ola Söderberg; Mats Nilsson; Cristina Al-Khalili Szigyarto; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; In situ proximity ligation assay PLA ; rolling circle amplification RCA ; Hybridization chain reaction HCR ; proxHCR; Oligonucleotide design; Protein-protein interactions; Post-translational modifications.; Farmaceutisk vetenskap; Pharmaceutical Science; Molekylär cellbiologi; Molecular Cellbiology;

    Abstract : In situ proximity ligation assay (PLA) is a method for detection of protein interactions, post-translational modifications (PTMs) and individual proteins that allows information about their localization in a cell or tissue to be extracted. The method is based on oligonucleotide-conjugated antibodies (proximity probes) that upon binding of two epitopes in close proximity give rise to an amplifiable DNA circle. READ MORE

  2. 2. Improvements and Applications of in situ Proximity Ligation Assays

    Author : Karin Grannas; Ola Söderberg; Christer Wingren; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine;

    Abstract : The cells building up the human body is in constant communication with each other. This communication is done through large complex networks of signaling pathways for inter- and intracellular signal transduction. The signaling activity regulates many important processes, for example cell death, proliferation and differentiation. READ MORE

  3. 3. Applications of in situ proximity ligation assays for cancer research and diagnostics

    Author : Liza Löf; Masood Kamali-Moghaddam; Ulf Landegren; J.Paul Robinson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Cancer; Diagnostics; Research; Prognostics; Method development; Flow cytometry; Drug delivery; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine;

    Abstract : In the field of cancer research and diagnostics it is crucial to have reliable methods for detecting molecules involved in the disease. New and better methods for diagnostics, prognostics and drug delivery therefore remain a permanent aim. READ MORE
