6. Groundwater Recharge in Crystalline Bedrock : Processes, Estimation, and Modelling
Abstract : Kunskap om grundvattenbildningen är nödvändig för att man ska kunna förutsäga konsekvenserna av grundvattenuttag och underjordsbyggande. Grundvattenbildningen i berggrunden är dock svår att uppskatta. READ MORE

7. Stochastic analysis of fluid flow and tracer pathways in crystalline fracture networks
Abstract : Understanding groundwater flow systems and how these control transport is an essential part in assessing the suitability of subsurface environments as hosts for storage of toxic waste. Therefore it is important to be able to integrate knowledge obtained from field characterisation of the subsurface with methods which can be used to evaluate and predict possible impact on surrounding environments. 8. Information Needs for Water Resource and Risk Management : Hydro-Meteorological Data Value and Non-Traditional Information
Abstract : Data availability is extremely important for water management. Without data it would not be possible to know how much water is available or how often extreme events are likely to occur. The usually available hydro-meteorological data often have a limited representativeness and are affected by errors and uncertainties. READ MORE

9. Water quality modeling based on landscape analysis: importance of riparian hydrology
Abstract : Several studies in high-latitude catchments have demonstrated the importance of near-stream riparian zones as hydrogeochemical hotspots with a substantial influence on stream chemistry. An adequate representation of the spatial variability of riparian-zone processes and characteristics is the key for modeling spatio-temporal variations of stream-water quality. READ MORE

10. Water chemistry and runoff in forest streams at Kloten
Abstract : Natural variability of stream water composition and discharge was studied in the Kloten area, Central Sweden, by means of statistical methods and simulation technique. The effects of Urea (155 kgN ha-1) and ammonium nitrate (AN, 160 kgN ha-1) fertilization and clear-cutting were studied by comparing treated and reference streams before and after management.
