  1. 1. Hydrogen in nano-sized metals : Diffusion and hysteresis effects

    Author : Wen Huang; Björgvin Hjörvarsson; Max Wolff; Gavin Walker; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Hydrogen; diffusion; hysteresis; optical technique; Physics with spec. in Atomic; Molecular and Condensed Matter Physics; Fysik med inriktning mot atom- molekyl- och kondenserande materiens fysik;

    Abstract : Metal hydrides can be used as hydrogen storage materials for fuel cells and batteries, and as sensors for detecting hydrogen gas. The use of metal hydrides for hydrogen storage can be hindered by poor kinetics and low capacity. Moreover, poor sensitivity, long recovery and response time, limit the applications of metal hydrides as hydrogen sensors. READ MORE

  3. 3. Estimation of torque in heavy duty vehicles with focus on sensor hysteresis

    Author : Marcus Hedegärd; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hysteresis modelling; adaptive hysteresis compensation; hysteresis compensation; magnetoelastic torque sensor; Preisach model; generalized Prandtl-Ishlinskii model; cylinder pressure estimation; torque estimation;

    Abstract : For diagnosis and feedback control of vehicle powertrains, it is highly desired to monitor the torques at different locations online. The most obvious way to do this is to measure cylinder pressures, from which cylinder individual delivered torques can be calculated, or to use torque sensors. READ MORE

  4. 4. A lumped element transformer model including core losses and winding impedances

    Author : David Ribbenfjärd; Göran Engdahl; Arvid Broddefalk; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; power transformer; hysteresis; dynamic hysteresis; eddy currents; excess eddy currents; leakage flux; winding model; core model; magnetic measurements; magnetic materials; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik;

    Abstract : In order to design a power transformer it is important to understand its internal electromagnetic behaviour. That can be obtained by measurements on physical transformers, analytical expressions and computer simulations. READ MORE
