  1. 1. Interstrand Crosslinks - Induction and repair

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Genetics, Microbiology and Toxicology, Stockholm University

    Author : Daniel Vare; Stockholms universitet.; [2012]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ICL; DNA repair; interstrand crosslink; psoralen; molekylärgenetik; Molecular Genetics;

    Abstract : DNA crosslinking agents exhibit a variety of DNA lesions, such as monoadducts, DNA-DNA interstrand or intrastrand crosslinks or DNA-protein crosslinks. Agents that produce interstrand crosslinks (ICLs) exist naturally and are widely used in chemotherapy. Therefore, it is important to understand how the lesions induced by these agents are repaired. 2. 2. Heterogeneous Degradation and Recyclability of PP Studied by Imaging Chemiluminescence

    University dissertation from KFS AB

    Author : Mikael Hamskog; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2006]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Teknik; Technological sciences; recyclability; mapping; surface; heterogeneity; heterogeneous; evaporation; ageing; hamamatsu; russel; ICL; CL; Irganox 1010; Irganox 1076; oxidation; hydroperoxide; radical; carbonyl; luminescence; chemiluminescence; imaging chemiluminescence; recycling; stabilization; polypropylene; degradation;

    Abstract : Oxidative degradation is a serious threat to long-term use and recyclability of polymers. Successful recycling of polymeric quality products requires characterization of the polymer material after reprocessing and use. READ MORE

  3. 3. New Approaches to Investigate and Prevent Oxidation of Polypropylene

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Fiber- och polymerteknologi

    Author : Petter Eriksson; KTH.; [2002]
    Keywords : oxidation; polypropylene; oxidative spreading; antioxidants; hyperbranched antioxidants;

    Abstract : When employing chemiluminescence to evaluate stabiliserperformance in a polymer, the induction time or the time toreach maximum chemiluminescence intensity is often used. Insuch an experiment the longest part of the experiment isnormally the time before the oxidation starts. READ MORE

  4. 4. Imaging chemiluminescence applied to oxidation of rubber materials and polyamide

    University dissertation from Institutionen för polymerteknologi

    Author : Gustav Ahlblad; KTH.; [1998]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this thesis the heterogeneous nature of thermal oxidationof polymer materials have been investigated by imagingchemiluminescence (KL). The issues of oxidation depth profilesand physical spreading of oxidation in rubbers materials andpolyamide have been addressed. READ MORE

  5. 5. Some New Methods in Sialic Acid Chemistry

    University dissertation from Organic Chemistry, Lund University

    Author : Teddy Ercegovic; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2001]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; thioglycoside promoter; ganglioside; Tumor-associated antigen; lactam; lactone; sialic acid; N-acetylneuraminic acid; Neu5Ac; sialyl donor; auxiliary group; 3- S -phenylthio; bis-sialic acid lactam; 3- S -phenylseleno; silver trifluoromethanesulfonate; iodine monochloride; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Abstract : Gangliosides (G) are sialic acid-containing cell surface glycosphingolipids capable of forming lactones, i.e. inner esters. Some gangliosides are tumor-associated antigens, and they may serve as immunogens in their lactone form, where the latter is comparatively more abundant on the surface of malignant cells. READ MORE
