  1. 6. Reappraising prognosis in chronic lymphocytic leukemia

    Author : Panagiotis Baliakas; Richard Brandell Rosenquist; Clemens Wendtner; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : CLL; prognosis; Medicinsk genetik; Medical Genetics;

    Abstract : Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) exhibits remarkable clinical heterogeneity likely reflecting the underlying biological heterogeneity. The genetic landscape of CLL has been recently enriched with mutations within a number of genes proposed as novel prognostic markers. READ MORE

  2. 7. Array based genetic profiling of chronic lymphocytic leukemia

    Author : Rebeqa Gunnarsson; Stamcellscentrum (SCC); []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; prognostic markers; copy-number neutral loss of heterozygosity; copy-number aberrations; chronic lymphocytic leukemia; genomic microarrays; clonal evolution; stereotyped B-cell receptors;

    Abstract : Although no common genetic defect has been described in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), recurrent genomic aberrations (i.e. deletions of chromosome 11q, 13q, 17p and trisomy 12) are important for prognostication. Deletion of 13q as single aberration is associated with the best prognosis, whereas del(11q) and del(17p) predict a poor outcome. READ MORE

  3. 8. Restricted antigen recognition in B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia

    Author : Anna Lanemo Myhrinder; Anders Rosén; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Chronic lymphocytic leukemia; auto antigens; CLL cell lines; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells are considered to be derived from antigen-exposed B cells. To further explore the antigen-driven selection behind the leukemogenesis of CLL, we performed immunoglobulin (Ig) specificity screening of 7 CLL cell lines and 23 primary CLL clones from patient peripheral blood. 4. 9. Genetic and Epigenetic Profiling of Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

    Author : Anna Margrét Halldórsdóttir; Richard Rosenquist; Reiner Siebert; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; mantle cell lymphoma; chronic lymphocytic leukemia; copy number aberration; proliferation signature; TP53; SNP array; methylation array; Haematology; Hematologi; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi; Tumour biology; Tumörbiologi; Medical Genetics; Medicinsk genetik; Oncology; Onkologi; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine; Pathology; Patologi;

    Abstract : Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) both belong to the group of mature B-cell malignancies. However, MCL is typically clinically aggressive while the clinical course of CLL varies. READ MORE

  5. 10. Genetic characterization of hematological malignancies with focus on mantle cell lymphoma

    Author : Emma Flordal Thelander; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Lymphoid cancer affects about 2000 individuals in Sweden every year. Lymphoma is divided into numerous subclasses based on histopathological and phenotypic characterization, however, for some lymphoma entities, the classification criteria are insufficient and clinical diversity is seen in cases of the same diagnosis.
