  1. 1. Immunological effects of isolated regional perfusion in malignant melanoma

    Author : Junko Johansson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Melanoma; Isolated regional perfusion; ILP; IHP; Melphalan; Immunogenic cell death; T cells; Monocytes; ISG;

    Abstract : Malignant melanoma patients with metastatic disease confined to the limbs or liver may be treated with hyperthermic isolated regional perfusion with a chemotherapeutic agent, most commonly melphalan. This procedure enables much higher tissue concentrations of the chemotherapeutic agent compared with systemic administration. READ MORE

  2. 2. Strategies for optimisation of 177Lu-octreotate therapy – exploring local administration and combination therapy regimens

    Author : Viktor Sandblom; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy; PRRT; 177Lu-octreotate; Neuroendocrine tumours; Optimisation; Local administration; Combination therapy;

    Abstract : Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are a group of heterogeneous tumour types that originate in hormone-producing organs. Patients with NETs are often diagnosed after the primary tumour has metastasised. READ MORE

  3. 3. Isolated regional perfusion for metastases of malignant melanoma - Clinical and experimental studies

    Author : Roger Olofsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Malignant melanoma; Uveal melanoma; Isolated limb perfusion; Isolated hepatic perfusion; Immunology; Exosomes;

    Abstract : Background: Isolated regional perfusion is a treatment option mainly for localized metastatic disease. The principle idea is to surgically isolate a region of the body and connect the circulation to a heart-lung machine. A high concentration of a chemotherapeutic agent is then delivered to the tumour, while systemic toxicity is avoided. READ MORE
