  1. 1. Impact of Quality Management in the Swedish Construction Process

    Author : Anne Landin; Byggproduktion; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Construction technology; Industriell ekonomi; Commercial and industrial economics; ISO 9000; Quality Management; Construction; Anläggningsteknik;

    Abstract : During the past few years, extensive effort has been devoted to developing quality systems as an integral part of the process in the construction sector. The construction process is complex, involving many different actors with different interests. READ MORE

  2. 2. Attenuation of hand-held machine vibrations. Application of non-linear tuned vibration absorber

    Author : Hans Lindell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Impact machine; Hand-arm vibration; High frequency vibration; ATVA; Nonlinear tuned vibration absorber; White finger; HAVS; Transient vibration; Auto Tuned Vibration Absorber; Vibration dynamics; ISO 5349;

    Abstract : Vibration injury in the hand-arm system from vibrating hand-held machines is one of the most common occupational health injuries and causes severe and often chronic nerve and vascular injuries to the operator. The objective with this study is to contribute to reduce hand-arm vibration injuries, first by developing methods of redesigning machines that will lower their vibration level and second to study how high frequency vibrations (HFV) above 1250 Hz effect the finger tissue which are not included in the current standard for risk evaluation. 3. 3. Acoustic excitation and transmission of lightweight structures

    Author : Jonas Brunskog; Teknisk akustik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; point mobility; Lamb waves; wood.; Building construction; plate excitation; cavities; near-periodicity; nearly periodic; sound insulation; timber; structural acoustics; spatial Fourier transform; resilient device; prediction model; periodic; lightweight; ISO tapping machine; airborne noise; Building acoustics; impact noise; Byggnadsteknik;

    Abstract : In order to increase our knowledge of the sound transmission and radiation processes of lightweight wall and floor structures, theoretical models are needed. Detailed models may form a valuable tool. In lightweight floor structures, impact sound insulation is perhaps the most important property to consider. READ MORE

  4. 4. Low Frequency Impact Sound in Timber Buildings : Transmission Measurements and Simulations

    Author : Jörgen Olsson; Andreas Linderholt; Börje Nilsson; Carl Hopkins; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Timber floors; FE-simulations; Light weight floors; Frequency response functions; Building acoustics; Byggteknik; Civil engineering;

    Abstract : An increased share of multi-story buildings that have timber structures entails potential in terms of increased sustainability as well as human-friendly manufacturing and habitation. Timber buildings taller than two stories were prohibited in Europe until the 1990s due to fire regulations. In 1994, this prohibition was removed in Sweden. READ MORE

  5. 5. Evaluating energy efficient buildings : Energy- and moisture performance considering future climate change

    Author : Björn Berggren; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []
