22. Reconstitution of the B-cell repertoire following allogeneic bone marrow transplantation
Abstract : Allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) is an established therapy for patients with a variety of haematological malignancies. Patients undergoing BMT often suffer from severe infections that can be partly explained by humoral immune deficiency. READ MORE

23. Stereotyped B Cell Receptors in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia : Implications for Antigen Selection in Leukemogenesis
Abstract : Biased immunoglobulin heavy variable (IGHV) gene usage and distinctive B-cell receptor (BCR) features have been reported in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), which may reflect clonal selection by antigens during disease development. Furthermore, the IGHV gene mutation status distinguishes two clinical entities of CLL, where patients with unmutated IGHV genes have an inferior prognosis compared to those with mutated IGHV genes. 24. Contributions to certain problems in algebraic topology
Abstract : We consider two problems. The first one is to determine when a fibration is also a (homotopy) cofibration. We use a classic result of T. Ganea to give a complete algebraic solution. READ MORE

25. Murine plasmacytomagenesis : an experimental model of B-cell neoplasia
Abstract : A chromosomal translocation which results in the illegitimate activation of the c-myc proto-oncogene by one of the three immunoglobulin (Ig) loci is invariably associated with human Burkitt's Lymphoma (BL), mouse plasmacytoma (MPC) and rat immunocytomas (RIC). In the MPC system a genetic predisposition linked to the BALB/c strain has been suggested. READ MORE
