1. Ionic transport of α-alumina below 1000°C : an in-situ impedance spectrosocpy study
Abstract : Ionic conductivity of metal oxides is critical for the function of a broad range of different components, such as electrolytes in solid oxide fuel cells and alloys designed for high temperature applications. In both cases the ionic conductivity can be studied by in situ impedance spectroscopy, which is also able to reveal information on the dielectric properties of the metal oxides, and in some cases the influence of their microstructure. 2. In-situ TEM Probing of Nanomaterials
Abstract : Nanomaterials because of their small size, may have special properties unlikely to be seen in ordinary types of materials. Nanomaterials like nanotubes, nanowires and nanoparticles are best studied at the nanoscale, vital but also problematic. READ MORE

4. Electrochemical Characterizations of Conducting Redox Polymers : Electron Transport in PEDOT/Quinone Systems
Abstract : Organic electrode materials for rechargeable batteries have caught increasing attention since they can be used in new innovative applications such as flexible electronics and smart fabrics. They can provide safer and more environmentally friendly devices than traditional batteries made from metals. READ MORE

5. Thermal response test : in situ measurements of thermal properties in hard rock
Abstract : In-situ determination of thermal properties in bedrock is important for the sizing of larger BTES systems. In-situ values of thermal conductivity may reduce required borehole length up to 30%. This thesis treats a new mobile thermal response test equipment (TED), developed in Luleå, Sweden, 1995-98.
