  1. 1. CO2 activation for methanol synthesis on copper and indium oxide surfaces

    Author : Alvaro Posada Borbon; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Methanol conversion; Heterogeneous catalysis; Density functional theory; Copper surface; Indium oxide; CO2 reduction;

    Abstract : Catalytic recycling of CO2 to added-value chemicals, such as methanol (CH3OH), has been proposed as a possible way for sustainable production of fuel and chemicals, in addition to providing a route to mitigate climate change. Multiple systems are known to be active for the conversion of CO2 to methanol, and the state of the art catalyst is Cu/ZnO/Al2O3. READ MORE

  2. 2. First principles studies of CO2 activation and reduction over indium oxide and copper surfaces

    Author : Alvaro Posada Borbon; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : Catalytic recycling of carbon dioxide (CO2) to added-value chemicals, such as methanol (CH3OH), have been proposed as a possible path for sustainable production of fuel and chemicals, in addition to providing a route to mitigate anthropogenic carbon emissions. Several catalytic systems are known to be active for conversion of CO2 to methanol, Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 being the main industrial catalyst for the process. READ MORE

  3. 3. Transparent Conductive Tin Doped Indium Oxide : Characterisation of Thin Films Made by Sputter Deposition with Silver Additive and by Spin Coating from Nanoparticle Dispersions

    Author : Annette Hultåker; Peter van Nijnatten; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; Materialvetenskap; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Solid State Physics; fasta tillståndets fysik;

    Abstract : Thin films of tin doped indium oxide (ITO) were prepared by two different methods: by sputter deposition with silver additive and by spin coating of a nanoparticle dispersion.ITO films doped with ≤ 20 at% of silver were prepared either as homogenous blends of ITO and silver or as intermixed layers. Abstract : The increase in electricity produced by solar energy is expected to create an end-of-life photovoltaics (PV) waste problem in the following decades, while their manufacturing waste is already a reality. However, their recycling is still at a primitive stage. READ MORE
