1. Topics in perturbation theory : From IBP identities to integrands
Abstract : In this thesis we present different topics in perturbation theory. We start by introducing the method of integration by parts identities, which reduces a generic Feynman integral to a linear combination of a finite basis of master integrals. READ MORE

2. Quivers, superconformal field theories and higher symmetries
Abstract : Quantum field theory (QFT) currently provides our best description of the natural world. Over the past century, it has been able to accurately reproduce many experimental results to an astonishing degree of accuracy and predict the existence of new particles. Despite this, QFT suffers from several mathematical problems. READ MORE

3. Correlation Functions in Integrable Theories : From weak to strong coupling
Abstract : The discovery of integrability in planar N=4 super Yang-Mills and ABJM has enabled a precise study of AdS/CFT. In the past decade integrability has been successfully applied to the spectrum of anomalous dimensions, which can now be obtained at any value of the coupling. READ MORE

4. Dualities, Symmetries and Unbroken Phases in String Theory : Probing the Composite Nature of the String
Abstract : The thesis treats aspects of string/M-theory in anti-de Sitter spacetimes and their supersymmetric completions. By applying the AdS/CFT correspondence, as well as models of spin chains and singletons, we try to attain a better understanding of the underlying symmetries and the unbroken phases of string/M-theory. 5. Spins and Giants : Fundamental Excitations in Weakly and Strongly Coupled ABJM Theory
Abstract : The discovery of integrability on both sides of the duality between planar N=4 super Yang-Mills theory and free type IIB string theory in AdS5 × S5 has lead to great progress in our understanding of the AdS/CFT correspondence. Similar integrable structures also appear in the more recent three-dimensional superconformal N=6 Chern-Simons-matter theory constructed by Aharony, Bergman, Jafferis and Maldacena (ABJM), as well as in its gravity dual, type IIA string theory on AdS4 × CP3.
