  1. 21. Photoelectron Spectroscopy on HCl and DCl : Synchrotron Radiation Based Studies of Dissociation Dynamics

    Author : Florian Burmeister; Eckart Rühl; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Photoelectron spectroscopy; HCl; DCl; Dissociation dynamics; Born-Oppenheimer approximation; Synchrotron radiation; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : Dissociation dynamics of the ionized molecules HCl and the deuterated system DCl has been studied in gas-phase using synchrotron based photoelectron spectroscopy (PES).The inner-valence "(4σ)-1" photoionization band for DCl and HCl was recorded using maximum resolution in order to probe an interference pattern between a dissociative and a bound electronic state. 2. 22. Temperature measurements on silicon core fibers during CO2 laser processing

    Author : Korbinian Mühlberger; Michael Fokine; Valerio Pruneri; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : This thesis presents temperature measurements on silicon core optical fibers during CO2 laser processing. Silicon core fibers are a new type of fiber offering a unique platform to combine the optoelectronic properties of silicon and the possibilities of the optical fiber platform. READ MORE

  3. 23. Multiple neurotransmitter inputs modulate circadian clock neurons in Drosophila

    Author : Yasutaka Hamasaka; Dick Nässel; François Rouyer; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; circadian; Drosophila; neurotransmitter; G-protein coupled receptor; Neurobiology; Neurobiologi;

    Abstract : Most animals have endogenous circadian clocks, which drive daily rhythms in behavior and physiology to adapt to daily cycles of the environment. Several sets of neurons have been identified as circadian pacemakers (clocks) in the brain of Drosophila melanogaster, but the neuronal circuits and neurotransmitters signalling circadian information are poorly known. 4. 24. Coverage Planning and Resource Allocation in Broadband Cellular Access : Optimization Models and Algorithms

    Author : Lei Chen; Di Yuan; Thomas Stidsen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : The last two decades have witnessed a booming in the use of cellular communication technologies. Billions of people are now enjoying the benefits of mobile communications. This thesis deals with planning and optimization of broadband cellular access network design and operation. READ MORE

  5. 25. Nuclear Dynamics in X-ray Absorption and Raman Scattering

    Author : Ivaylo Minkov; Faris Gelmukhanov; Knut Borve; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; x-ray scattering; theory; simulations; recoil; Doppler effect; nuclear dynamics; Auger; XPS; Theoretical chemistry; Teoretisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis presents theoretical studies of several x-ray spectroscopies - x-ray absorption, x-ray photoelectron emission, radiative and non-radiative resonant Raman scattering spectroscopy. The main focus point is investigating the influence of nuclear dynamics on these spectra for a variety of small molecules - naphthalene, biphenyl, ethylene, the water dimer, HCl, CO. READ MORE
