  1. 1. Stable iterated function systems

    Author : Erland Gadde; Hans Wallin; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hausdorff metric; iterated function system IFS ; attractor; invariant set; address; Hutchinson’s metric; we a k* -topology; IFS with probabilities; invariant measure; the Random Iteration Algorithm;

    Abstract : The purpose of this thesis is to generalize the growing theory of iterated function systems (IFSs). Earlier, hyperbolic IFSs with finitely many functions have been studied extensively. Also, hyperbolic IFSs with infinitely many functions have been studied. In this thesis, more general IFSs are studied. READ MORE

  2. 2. Stochastic Invariance and Aperiodic Control for Uncertain Constrained Systems

    Author : Yulong Gao; Karl H. Johansson; Alessandro Abate; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; controlled invariant set; stochastic system; constraint; uncertainty; reachable set; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Uncertainties and constraints are present in most control systems. For example, robot motion planning and building climate regulation can be modeled as uncertain constrained systems. In this thesis, we develop mathematical and computational tools to analyze and synthesize controllers for such systems. READ MORE

  3. 3. Safe Autonomy under Uncertainty: Computation, Control, and Application

    Author : Yulong Gao; Karl H. Johansson; Lihua Xie; ‪Frank Allgöwer; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Safe autonomy; shared autonomy; probabilistic controlled invariant set; invariant cover; linear temporal logic; temporal logic tree; safe teleoperation; automated car overtaking; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Safety is a primary requirement for many autonomous systems, such as automated vehicles and mobile robots. An open problem is how to assure safety, in the sense of avoiding unsafe subsets of the state space, for uncertain systems under complex tasks. READ MORE

  4. 4. Control of Constrained Dynamical Systems with Performance Guarantees: With Application to Vehicle motion Control

    Author : Ankit Gupta; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Linear matrix inequalities; Robust control; Invariant set; Semi-definite program; Linear parameter varying system; Linear fractional transformation;

    Abstract : In control engineering, models of the system are commonly used for controller design. A standard control design problem consists of steering the given system output (or states) towards a predefined reference. Such a problem can be solved by employing feedback control strategies. 5. 5. Invariant Subspaces in Spaces of Analytic Functions

    Author : Ali Abkar; Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten); []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; functional analysis; Series; Fourier analysis; weighted Bergman space.; super-biharmonic function; quasi-Banach space of analytic functions; index; multiplier module homomorphism; multiplier; Banach space of analytic functions; hyperinvariant subspace; Serier; fourieranalys; funktionsanalys;

    Abstract : Let D be a finitely connected bounded domain with smooth boundary in the complex plane. We first study Banach spaces of analytic functions on D . The main result is a theorem which converts the study of hyperinvariant subspaces on multiply connected domains into the study of hyperinvariant subspaces on domains with fewer holes. READ MORE
