  2. 2. Correlation effects in ionic perovskite crystals

    Author : Konstantinos Papadopoulos; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; muon spectroscopy; ion dynamics; correlated systems; multifunctional materials; spintronics; perovskites; magnetic order; solar cells;

    Abstract : Perovskites are a large family of versatile materials with favourable properties for spintronics and optoelectronics applications. The mineral CaTiO3 defines the archetypal crystal structure of perovskite materials with a general composition ABX3. READ MORE

  3. 3. Pretreatment and enzymatic saccharification of lignocellulose : formation and effects of pseudolignin

    Author : Monica Normark; Leif Jönsson; Sandra Winestrand; Torbjörn Lestander; Wilfred Vermerris; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pretreatment; enzymatic saccharification; ionic liquid; torrefaction; pseudolignin; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : Production of advanced biofuels, green chemicals, and bio-based materials from renewable lignocellulosic biomass would contribute to decreased dependence on fossil resources and to sustainable development. The overall aim of the investigations was to explore how preprocessing and pretreatment technologies affected the chemical composition of cellulosic materials and their susceptibility to enzymatic saccharification, which is one of the major routes for biorefining of lignocellulose. 4. 4. Effects of HCO3- and ionic strength on the oxidation and dissolution of UO2

    Author : Mohammad Moshin Hossain; Mats Jonsson; Olle Wahlberg; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; UO2; H2O2; spent nuclear fuel; HCO3-; ionic strength; oxidation; dissolution; surface site density.; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Abstract : The kinetics for radiation induced dissolution of spent nuclear fuel is a key issue in the safety assessment of a future deep repository. Spent nuclear fuel mainly consists of UO2 and therefore the release of radionuclides (fission products and actinides) is assumed to be governed by the oxidation and subsequent dissolution of the UO2 matrix. 5. 5. CO2 separation using ionic liquid-based absorbents : thermodynamics and kinetics

    Author : Yifeng Chen; Xiaoyan Ji; Xiaohua Lu; Marcus Öhman; Congmin Wang; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ionic liquids; carbon dioxide; thermodynamics; kinetics; Energiteknik; Energy Engineering;

    Abstract : Ionic liquids (ILs) have shown great potential to be used as absorbents for CO2 separation owing to their unique properties such as immeasurably low vapour pressure, high thermal stability, high CO2 affinity, and tunable structure. A huge amount of researches have been carried out, and most of them focused on developing novel ILs for CO2 separation. READ MORE
