  1. 1. Near-Field Study of Multiple Interacting Jets Confluent Jets

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Shahriar Ghahremanian; Högskolan i Gävle.; [2015]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multiple interacting jets; confluent jets; axisymmetric round jet; Low Reynolds number jet; Particle Image Velocimetry PIV ; Laser Doppler Anemometry LDA ; Hot-Wire anemometry HWA ; RANS turbulence models; SST −; Low Reynolds −; Response Surface Method;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with the near-field of confluent jets, which can be of interest in many engineering applications such as design of a ventilation supply device. The physical effect of interaction between multiple closely spaced jets is studied using experimental and numerical methods. READ MORE

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Setareh Janbakhsh; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; Högskolan i Gävle.; [2015]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multiple interacting jets; round jets; confluent jets; wall jet; ventilation strategy; air distribution system; air supply device; ventilation performance; thermal comfort; energy-saving potential; measurement; numerical predictions; RANS turbulence models; renormalization group RNG k– ε ; realizable Re k– ε ; and shear stress transport SST k– ω ;

    Abstract : This study presents air distribution systems that are based on confluent jets; this system can be of interest for the establishment of indoor environments, to fulfill the goals of indoor climate and energy-efficient usage. The main objective of this study is to provide deeper understanding of the flow field development of a supply device that is designed based on wall confluent jets and to investigate the ventilation performance by experimental and numerical methods. 3. 3. Multiple Parton Interactions in Deep Inelastic ep-scattering at HERA

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Sakar Osman; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2008]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Jet Calibration; H1; Jets; Mini-jets; MPI; Low-x; Multiple; Dijets; Parton Dynamics; HERA; Fysicumarkivet A:2008:Osman;

    Abstract : The production of jets with low transverse momenta (mini-jets) in deep inelastic electron-proton scattering is studied. The analyses uses data taken with the H1 detector at HERA during the years 1999 to 2000. READ MORE

  4. 4. Forward Jet Production in ep-collisions at HERA

    University dissertation from Theoretical High Energy Physics

    Author : Albert Knutsson; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2007]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Forward Jets; Parton dynamics; Jets; Small-x; Low-x; Elementary particle physics; QCD; quantum field theory; Elementarpartikelfysik; kvantfältteori; Fysicumarkivet A:2007:Knutsson;

    Abstract : The production of forward jets has been measured in deep inelastic $ep$ collisions at HERA. The results are presented in terms of single differential cross sections as a function of the Bjorken scaling variable ($x_{Bj}$) and as triple differential cross sections $d^3 sigma / dx_{Bj}dQ^2dp_{t,jet}^2$, where $Q^2$ is the four momentum transfer squared and $p_{t,jet}^2$ is the squared transverse momentum of the forward jet.
