  1. 1. Development and Assessment of Regeneration Methods for Commercial Automotive Three-Way Catalysts

    Author : Henrik Birgersson; Magali Boutonnet; Jim A. Andersson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automotive catalyst; TWC; aging; sintering; Pd Rh; Pt Rh; regeneration; oxy-chlorination; dispersion; acid-leaching; mathematical modeling; reaction kinetics; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : Car exhaust catalysts were introduced in the early 1980’s, to limit the release of pollutants such as hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides. These catalysts contain noble metals such as palladium (Pd), platinum (Pt) and rhodium (Rh) and are able to simultaneously abate all three of the above-mentioned pollutants, hence the name three-way catalyst (TWC). 2. 2. Systems Analysis of Chemicals Production via Integrated Entrained Flow Biomass Gasification : Quantification and improvement of techno-economic performance

    Author : Jim Andersson; Eric D. Larson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Abstract : Lignocellulosic biomass gasification is a promising production pathway for green chemicals, which can support the development towards a more sustainable society where fossil fuels are replaced. To be able to compete with fossil fuels, a highly efficient production of biomassbased products is required in order to maximize overall process economics and to minimizenegative environmental impact. 3. 3. Techno-economic analysis of integrated biomass gasification for green chemical production

    Author : Jim Andersson; Anders Hultgren; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Engineering; Energiteknik;

    Abstract : Production of renewable motor fuels and green chemicals is important in the development towards a more sustainable society where fossil fuels are replaced. The global annual production of methanol and ammonia from fossil fuels is very large. READ MORE

  4. 4. Bidding in Combinatorial Auctions

    Author : Jim Wilenius; Arne Andersson; Peter Bro Miltersen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; combinatorial auction; multiple-object; first-price; sealed-bid; game theory; multiple items; simultaneous auction; integer programming; equilibrium; strategy; reveue; Information technology; Informationsteknik; Datavetenskap; Computer Science;

    Abstract : This thesis concerns the interdisciplinary field of combinatorial auctions, combining the fields of computer science, optimization and economics. A combinatorial auction is an auction where many items are sold simultaneously and where bidders may submit indivisible combinatorial bids on groups of items. READ MORE

  5. 5. A Sequence of Essays on Sequences of Auctions

    Author : Daniel Bougt; Ola Andersson; Per Hjertstrand; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; declining price anomaly; sequential auctions; train-ticket auctions; ambiguity aversion; risk aversion; non-parametric estimation; experiment; Economics; Nationalekonomi;

    Abstract : Essay I (with Gagan Ghosh and Heng Liu). The existence of declining prices in sequential auctions is a well-documented empirical pattern. Three explanations that can explain the puzzle are bidders being risk averse, loss averse, or ambiguity averse. READ MORE
