1. Assessment in Evidence-Based Practice : Psychometric Properties, Clinical Utility and Professional Co-operation from Different Perspectives of the Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment in Sweden
Abstract : The overall aim of the present thesis was to explore and compare professional co-operation in child welfare investigations, explore the psychometric properties, and describe the clinical utility from different perspectives of a translated Swedish version of the standardized assessment instrument the Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment (the HOME Inventory). Social workers in Sweden, Denmark, Britain, Germany, and Texas (USA) co-operated with different professionals around a fictitious child welfare case. READ MORE

2. Minimax Approaches to Robust Model Predictive Control
Abstract : Controlling a system with control and state constraints is one of the most important problems in control theory, but also one of the most challenging. Another important but just as demanding topic is robustness against uncertainties in a controlled system. READ MORE

3. Optimal Control and Model Reduction of Nonlinear DAE Models
Abstract : In this thesis, different topics for models that consist of both differential and algebraic equations are studied. The interest in such models, denoted DAE models, have increased substantially during the last years. READ MORE

4. Some Results On Optimal Control for Nonlinear Descriptor Systems
Abstract : I denna avhandling studeras optimal återkopplad styrning av olinjära deskriptorsystem. Ett deskriptorsystem är en matematisk beskrivning som kan innehålla både differentialekvationer och algebraiska ekvationer. READ MORE

5. Fighter Aircraft Maneuver Limiting Using MPC : Theory and Application
Abstract : Flight control design for modern fighter aircraft is a challenging task. Aircraft are dynamical systems, which naturally contain a variety of constraints and nonlinearities such as, e.g., maximum permissible load factor, angle of attack and control surface deflections. READ MORE
