  1. 1. Small-Scale Absorbed Dose Modelling in Selective Internal Radiation Therapy : Microsphere Distribution in Normal Liver Tissue

    Author : Jonas Högberg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; clusters; dosimetry; heterogeneity; liver; microspheres; radioembolisation; simulations; SIRT; surgery; yttrium-90;

    Abstract : Radioembolisation (RE), with yttrium-90 (90Y) labelled microspheres, is an increasingly common treatment method for unresectable liver tumours. The tolerable mean absorbed dose for normal liver (NL) tissue is higher in RE than in External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT); absorbed dose heterogeneity is thought to be one important reason, together with a low absorbed dose rate, but the knowledge of microsphere distributions is limited. 2. 2. TiC-based nanocomposite coatings as electrical contacts

    Author : Jonas Lauridsen; Lars Hultman; Per Eklund; Hans Högberg; Michael Stüber; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This Thesis concerns the advanced surface engineering of novel TiC-based nanocomposite and AgI electrical contact materials. The objective is to make industrially applicable coatings that are electrically conductive and wear-resistant, and have a low coefficient of friction. READ MORE

  3. 3. Managing broad responsibility together in a municipal company : Communication as prophylaxis

    Author : Karin Ahlström; Lucia Crevani; Eva Lindell; Jonas Stier; Lena Högberg; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Keywords : industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Economics and Organisations;

    Abstract : Municipal companies are important actors in the pursuit of the goals of Agenda 2030 and are often formally obliged by their owners to work towards achieving these goals, but without jeopardizing ongoing production and the delivery of vital public services. This has, however, shown to be challenging, and managers are often unsure how to develop new ways of organizing to meet such complex challenges and take on broad responsibility. READ MORE

  4. 4. From Food Preference to Craving : Behavioural Traits and Molecular Mechanisms

    Author : Johan Alsiö; Helgi B Schiöth; Jonas Lindblom; Anna M Kindlundh-Högberg; Suzanne Dickson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Obesity; Reward; Food preferences; Dietary fats; Dietary carbohydrates; Anxiety; Dopamine; Craving; Operant self-administration; Pharmacology; Farmakologi; Farmakologi; Pharmacology;

    Abstract : Preference for palatable and energy-dense foods may be a risk factor for body weight gain and has both genetic and environmental components. Once obesity develops in an individual, weight loss is difficult to achieve. READ MORE
