1. Searches for Dark Matter with IceCube and DeepCore : New constraints on theories predicting dark matter particles
Abstract : The cubic-kilometer sized IceCube neutrino observatory, constructed in the glacial ice at the South Pole, searches indirectly for dark matter via neutrinos from dark matter self-annihilations. It has a high discovery potential through striking signatures. READ MORE

2. A Search for Dark Matter in the Sun with AMANDA and IceCube
Abstract : A search for weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) annihilating in the Sun was performed with the IceCube and AMANDA neutrino telescopes, using data from 2008 corresponding to 149 days of livetime. Assuming that particles in the dark matter halo scatter and accumulate in the centre of the Sun, Majorana WIMPs may pair-wise annihilate and give rise to a neutrino signal detectable in an experiment at Earth. 3. Astrophysical and Collider Signatures of Extra Dimensions
Abstract : In recent years, there has been a large interest in the subject of extra dimensions in particle physics. In particular, a number of models have been suggested which provide solutions to some of the problems with the current Standard Model of particle physics, and which could be tested in the next generation of high-energy experiments. 4. Particle Phenomenology of Compact Extra Dimensions
Abstract : This thesis is an investigation of the subject of extra dimensions in particle physics. In recent years, there has been a large interest in this subject. In particular, a number of models have been suggested that provide solutions to some of the problem with the current Standard Model of particle physics. READ MORE

5. The Dark Side of the Universe
Abstract : The dark side of the Universe presents astroparticle physics with its most outstanding challenge to date. As observational cosmology in recent years has reached a level of unprecedented accuracy, we have learned that there is very little in the Universe that we know much about, and very much about which we know very little.
