2. Strong n-generators in some one-dimensional domains
Abstract : Let R be a commutative Noetherian one-dimensional domain such that each ideal in R can be generated by n elements. A strong n-generator in R is an element r which can be chosen as one of n generators for each ideal in which it is contained. READ MORE

3. Risk of hearing loss from combined exposure to hand-arm vibrations and noise
Abstract : Hearing loss from noise exposure is one of the most common occupational injuries, and exposure to vibrations may increase the risk of noise-induced hearing loss. Earlier cross-sectional and longitudinal studies found an increased risk of noise-induced hearing loss among workers with vibration-induced white fingers (VWF) symptoms compared to workers without such symptoms. 5. Obstacles to students' learning of the limit concept : A comparative study
Abstract : This thesis explores obstacles to students’ learning of the limit of a function as students learn the concept in post-compulsory schools in two culturally different contexts, namely Sweden and Ethiopia. The study investigates obstacles to students’ learning of the intuitive limit concept (the limit concept that is based on the intuitive definition) taught in upper secondary schools of these two contexts and characterises the nature of these obstacles.
