  2. 2. The experience of younger adults and their next of kin following a myocardial infarction and registered nurses' conceptions of caring in a coronary care context

    Author : Ewa Andersson; Vård i högteknologisk miljö; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; content analysis; Caring; conceptions of caring; context; coronary care; deductive content analysis; experience; inductive content analysis; myocardial infarction; next of kin; nursing; phenomenography; phenomenological hermeneutic; younger people; views; qualitative research.;

    Abstract : Despite the fact that caring has been regarded as the core of nursing for decades, our knowledge about caring is still mainly on a philosophical level. 4. 4. Titchmarsh-Weyl M-function asymptotics and some results in the inverse spectral theory for vector-valued Sturm-Liouville equations and a certain higher order ordinary differential equation

    Author : Erik Andersson; Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten); []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Functions; differential equations; Funktioner; differentialekvationer; Paley-Wiener.; The generalized Fourier transform; A certain higher order ordinary differential equation; Borg-Marchenko theorems; Vector-valued Sturm-Liouville equations; Inverse spectral theory; Titchmarsh-Weyl M-function asymptotics; Asymptotics of solutions; Spectral measure;

    Abstract : This discourse is constituted by two separate reprots, where the first one offers an elementary deduction of the leading order term asymptotics for the Titchmarsh-Weyl M-function corresponding to a vector-valued Sturm-Liouville equation of the form -(PU')'+QU=zu, xin[0,b), with P^{-1},W,Q being hermitean with locally integrable entries; and under some additional conditions on P^{-1} and W. In the special case of P=W=I, we give some further asymptotic results for the same M-function. READ MORE

  5. 5. Physical capacity in individuals with cerebral palsy : problems, needs and resources, with special emphasis on locomotion

    Author : Christina Andersson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Many individuals with cerebral palsy (CP) have difficulties in walking independently because of impaired postural control, abnormal tone and pathological muscular coordination. Walkers are often a prerequisite and are often prescribed for assisting and providing the stability necessary for ambulation. READ MORE
