11. Search for Supersymmetry with DELPHI, and preparation for ATLAS
Abstract : This thesis reports on searches for supersymmetric particles, in particular neutralinos, conducted with the DELPHI detector at the LEP accelerator at CERN. The searches were performed within the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), with R-parity conserved and gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking. READ MORE

12. Studies of Top Physics Sensitivity and of Pile-Up Effects on Energy Reconstruction in the ATLAS Detector : A Licentiate Thesis About the Treatment of Troublesome $\tau$ and Producing Pulses to Probe Pile-up Problems
Abstract : This thesis presents two studies conducted using the ATLAS detectorat the Large Hadron Collider. The first one is a technical study abouthow out-of-time pile-up affects energy reconstruction using the optimalfiltering 2 algorithm in the TILE calorimeter sub detector. The studyis conducted using a pulse simulator software that is also described. READ MORE

13. Towards application of explicit likelihoods in inference for Dark Matter Direct Detection
Abstract : Despite the many empirical hints for the existence of Dark Matter in the Universe, Dark Matter has yet to be observed experimentally, be it directly through its scatterings in detectors, indirectly through its annihilation in the galaxy, or implicitly through its production and decay in particle colliders. Even though observations from astrophysics and cosmology placed constraints on the Dark Matter energy density and self-interaction cross section and with Standard Model particles, much about the nature of Dark Matter is still unknown, leaving much to the creativity of model builders. 14. A search for solar dark matter with the IceCube neutrino telescope
Abstract : Dark matter particles in the form of supersymmetric Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) could accumulate in the centre of the Sun because of gravitational trapping. Pair-wise annihilations of WIMPs could create standard model particles out of which neutrinos could reach the Earth. READ MORE
